Prez Day Smackfest Wrap-up
It was a great weekend for volleyball in Fort Wayne, Indiana. At the 2nd Annual Presidents’ Day Smackfest, Smack was well-represented in not only team uniforms and backpacks, but also by the parents! We managed to spot many team moms and dads wearing the Smack logo on tees and hoodies.
Our new photo booth made its debut, and teams were given the opportunity to have free photos taken of their teams and coaches. Thanks to all the players, coaches, parents and club directors for a great weekend and congrats to the winning teams! Read on for a list of the tournament champions, as well as a special message from Lloy Ball of Team Pineapple VBC.

The 2018 Ft. Wayne Presidents’ Day Smackfest is in the books. This weekend, over 180 teams from all over the Tri-State area came to Ft. Wayne to battle it out in epic volleyball matches on three sites and 24 courts. This is the second year for this collaboration between three local Indiana clubs: Empowered VBA, Summit VBC and Team Pineapple VBC. This event is a true testament to volleyball clubs working together for the betterment of its area student-athletes. I want to personally thank our sponsors, Smack Sportswear and Parkview Sports Medicine, who helped make this event happen. I also want to thank the Parkview Field House, IPFW, and Empowered Sports Club for being such amazing hosts. I want to thank Lane, Chuck and Jason for all the AES work. Finally, I mostly want to thank: William and Ashley Robbins, Debbie Rednour, Matt McCarter, Allie Miller, Rachelle Gilbert, Pat Tolin and ALL the folks from all three clubs that help make this year’s Presidents Day Smackfest a HUGE success.
The volleyball was good!!! The fans were good!!!! The organization was good!!! The Smack Winners shirts were good!!! What I am trying to say is that IT WAS GOOD!!!!:)
