Team Pineapple Aims for Three-Peat

Team Pineapple will arrive at the 2017 USA Volleyball Open National Championships with a target on their back–and not just because they’re led by 2008 Olympic gold medalist, Lloy Ball. It’s because they left Orlando last year as National Champions. They also left Detriot in 2015 as National Champions. As Team Pineapple heads to Minneapolis this weekend, they’ll be shooting for a three-peat in National Championships!!! 

 

Smack Sportswear is proud to play a small part in this family of talented Team Pineapple athletes by providing them with high-performance volleyball uniforms and apparel. Wearing Smack Sportswear’s new 2017 custom sublimated volleyball jerseys and warm-up gear, we’d like to think we’ve helped Team Pineapple to their past two championships with their “look good, play good” mentality. Let’s hope we can do it again this year.

Well…..the 2017 USAV National championships are here!

While things have unfortunately changed due to the PVL folding and Team Pineapple getting older… our attitudes toward this week have not changed!!! We are here to win the tourney and win the party!!!

 

Our BACK-TO-BACK PVL team has moved into the Open division, and we have gone “young” for this year’s team. Veterans like Ptak, Robbins, Gisslen and Ball have stepped down and allowed youngsters like Matos, Omar Riveria, Dryden, Bertram, Sellan to take the helm. Will Robbins and myself will be “coaching” the young bucks all week. By coaching I mean, Will standing up yelling at the boys with his sleeveless shirt on, and me sitting on the bench with Ron Clark laughing at him.

Myself and the LEGEND Loren Gebert will be combining forces with Balboa Bay to form a juggernaut called Balboa/Pineapple in the 45’s division. I will also play the last three days with World Famous Team Jim Beam in the 40’s!!!

Team Pineapple plans on being a dominant force on the court in all three divisions (and TP plans to shake up the Minnie night life every night as well). So, lock & load Minneapolis. We are here to volley our brains out (walking will be tough after this 6 days grind) and to party our socks off.
