Hermosa Beach Volleyball Classes are back. Register now space is limited!

The Beginning Class is focused on learning the game, ball control and basic skills like passing and setting. The Intermediate and Advanced Classes are a little more accelerated with the focus being hand setting, defense, hitting and shots, side out strategies as well as jump and speed training. Besides improving your game and getting in some good cardio, you'll also make lots of new friends. Former class attendees have won at all levels of VB ventures and the CBVA. After every class we all go to Sharkeez for VIP service and Bud Light, Grey Goose/Red bull, and other specials.

Instructors: Bill Sigler, former AAA rated player and Smackfest organizer, whose resume includes over 15 years teaching beach and indoor volleyball. Tanner Morris who has been coaching for over 10 years at all levels. Guest instructors include Gold Medalist Eric Fonoimoana, AVP Champ Albert Hannemann, and AVP layers like Tori Graefman. New Sports Facility - 2 suspended wood courts + training/plyos court

Located just off the 405 at Wilmington Ave, the new VB Superstore in Carson offers 2 suspended wood courts and a training/plyos court. We recently signed the lease to take over the front building, doubling our size to almost 14,000 square feet. We installed another volleyball/basketball court in the new building which will be similar to our existing court - high grade birch with a floating sub floor. We also added a 1/2 court with a Sport Court surface for volleyball training as well as plyos, strength and conditioning. The VB Superstore is now twice the size it was before. Lastly, we plan to add a sand court in the back corner of the complex.

Carri Dodd/Diane D win Coney Island

Two new queens were crowned on the AVP Crocs Tour, as second-seeded Carrie Dodd and Dianne DeNecochea claimed their first title of 2009 and their first as a team at the Lumber Liquidators AVP Crocs Slam Coney Island Open Presented by Kentucky Grilled Chicken.
