Smack Partners with Ball Sports Academy
Smack Sportswear is proud to announce a 3-year agreement with the Ball Sports Academy and Team Pineapple Volleyball Club. Smack has partnered with Team Pineapple PVL and Team Pineapple VBC for the past three years, outfitting them with the newest high-performance custom volleyball apparel and jerseys. Now, we are taking that relationship to the next level by becoming a partner at the Ball Sports Academy–a brand new facility in Angola, Indiana.
Spearheaded by four-time Olympian and Gold Medalist Lloy Ball, the Ball Sports Academy is a massive 25,000 square foot athletic center. The all-inclusive facility will have a strength room, physical therapy clinic, three volleyball courts (one being named Smack Court), a water therapy room, concessions, a pro shop, and a study lobby for kids. The BSA is scheduled to open January 3, 2018 as the new home of Team Pineapple VBC. Smack will also continue to sponsor the Smack Power Series, Ft. Wayne Presidents Day Smackfest, and other Team Pineapple events.
We spoke with Lloy Ball of Team Pineapple and the BSA. “Team Pineapple is proud to continue this sponsorship and partnership, and we look forward to great things from Smack Sportswear and Team Pineapple in the years to come,” said Ball. “I couldn’t be happier with the relationship Bill and I have formed. We are like-minded volleyball fans. We put the kids, the game, and the volleyball community ahead of any personal agendas. We both have been blessed and we will continue to give back to the sport that has brought us so much joy.”
Bill Sigler, CEO of Smack Sportswear, is equally looking forward to the partnership. “Im very excited to continue growing our partnership with one of the best indoor players to ever play for Team USA,” he said. “We plan to make BSA our satellite office, where we will have a showroom and warehouse, allowing us to better service our Midwest and East coast customers, and allow for more personal interaction with athletes, coaches, and directors in that region.”
